[It's brief because he's still only using one hand to type. The other might have been healed quite a bit by now but it's still not fully done. There's still parts missing and he doesn't want to remember, but as Kisumi is new to their group he'll try and make sure he's doing okay.

Not to mention the new set of murders it's. Well.]

[ there was only a slight hitch in sousuke's plan when it came to his little present for Kisumi's birthday. a hitch that has him worrying for a bit of th day. eventually, sousuke bites the bullet - sometime early morning - and sends kisumi a text. ]

You know you didn't have to.

[ He texts him back, having been walking toward class, but stops to instead turn and go toward the lockers. It would have been early either way, so taking a little detour was fine. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to go to class today. ]

but i did

[ and he's proud of it too - even if it is kind of lame. a cupcake he managed to get from the baking club and a card, with a simple design and a happy birthday scrawled across the front. it's not really impressive, in any way, but it's something. ]

[ He spends so long just looking at it with his locker open, smiling like it was the best thing to find ever. Kisumi took the card and held it, looking it over in it's entirely. Even if it was simple, Sousuke put in the effort. ]

it's nothing big
being kidnapped and held hostage in a weird school kind of makes shopping difficult
but at least the cupcake is normal
